This program was funded  by MCSP/USAID-Rwanda to support the national professional associations in provision of 3 days monthly visits  in 12 district hospitals of Southern and Western Provinces of Rwanda. The three professional associations included Rwanda Association of Midwives (RAM), Rwanda Paediatrics Association (RPA) and Rwanda Gyneco and Obstetricians Society (RSOG).

  The conducted mentorship program focused on Basic Emergency Obstetric & Neonatal Care (B-EMONC) for  clinical hospital staff working in Maternal and Neonatal Care Services  whereby a total number of 301 nurses and midwives were mentored and awarded certificates in Basic Emergency Obstetric & Neonatal Care (B-EMONC) and the indicators showered great improvement in quality of care and in maternal and newborn health outcomes.
